My name is Jaela Mitchell and I'm from New Orleans, Louisiana.

School was never the answer for me—until it became the answer.

There was a time when I didn't believe school was part of my future. I learned differently, and for years I thought that meant I wasn't capable. Motivation wasn't something anyone could bring out of me—it was something I had to realize from within.

Today, I'm a rising junior at St. Edward's University, studying Writing & Rhetoric and History, with coursework in Business Management. My journey has shown me that every student learns differently, and success isn't about being the smartest in the room—it's about discovering how you learn best.

Tutoring isn't simply about reading, writing, or math. It's about helping young people discover that their greatest strength has been inside them all along.More importantly, it's understanding how to use the knowledge your mind is capable of holding. Every child learns differently, and every lesson should reflect that. My goal is to create an environment where students feel seen, supported, and challenged to grow.

I can't promise perfect grades or guarantee a certain outcome. What I can promise is my commitment to helping your child believe in what they're capable of. Because when students begin to believe in themselves, they don't just improve academically—they begin to see possibilities they never thought were within reach. I am proof of that.
